About Us
Stonewall is a leading LGBTQ philanthropy, having awarded, to date, nearly $20 million to 600+ organizations across the USA. We are also the only public foundation focused on the needs of lesbian, gay, bi, trans, and queer people in New York City. By mobilizing resources and making smart, values-driven investments in dynamic organizations, projects, and leaders, we accelerate progressive change in the lives of LGBTQ people.
In addition to our more public-facing strategies of fundraising and grantmaking, we also provide technical assistance and capacity support to grassroots groups, help cultivate talented leaders in the nonprofit sector, and curate initiatives wherein donors get to learn about the most pressing LGBTQ issues, directly from the people on the front lines.
