  • About Us

The Hudson Valley SPCA was transformed from a high-kill shelter with a horrible reputation to a no-kill shelter filled with a dedicated and caring staff in June 2008. Since its rebirth. over 400 cats and dogs have been adopted to loving familites. In addition, and most importantly, it has instituted a Humane Law Enforcement Division. This division consists of trained and armed peace officers who can arrest animal abusers and assist in the successful prosecution and sentencing of these criminals. This organization wears many hats and has begun to show "teeth" where it really counts. Support the HVSPCA and help them make a difference to those creatures without a voice.
