    Background

    Stamford Youth Tennis Academy (SYTA) grew out of a two week summer tennis program run by the 100 Black Men of Stamford. The organization started its growth in 2014 and is now a year round racket and educational support program for 60+ kinds in Stamford.

    Mission Statement

    Stamford Youth Tennis Academy provides year round racket sports instruction and academic support free of charge to children in need in the City of Stamford.

    SYTA accomplishes its mission through the following:

    • Year round tennis instruction, competition and play
    • Year round homework and educational tutoring
    • Winter squash and paddle tennis instruction and play
    • Summer ESL for parents in conjunction with tennis
    • US Open tennis, CT Open, other sports, academic and cultural activities
