Jewish Family Service of Central New Jersey (JFS) is a nonprofit, non-sectarian, health and social services agency, with offices in Elizabeth and Mountainside, New Jersey.
JFS works to strengthen family life and encourage personal growth by providing specialized quality services to individuals and families in need.
Founded in 1912 as United Hebrew Charities, JFS provided emergency funds to individuals and families in need during the Great Depression and two World Wars.
In the twenty-first century, the mission of our multi-purpose, nonsectarian agency remains the same: to provide assistance and quality social and health services to individuals and families in need.
