South Side Healthy Community Organization (SSHCO)

  • About Us

The South Side Healthy Community Organization (SSHCO) is a not-for-profit built in collaboration with 13 healthcare organizations – safety net hospitals, health systems and Federally Qualified Health Centers — on the South Side of Chicago. Supported by generous state funding, the SSHCO aims to build a healthcare system that will prioritize community needs, intervene earlier and respond better. Our model, driven by community input, will better connect existing health organizations, increase access to care, address some of the most challenging health issues we face, and ultimately, build health equity and ensure stronger, healthier communities across the South Side of Chicago.
