About Us
The mission of Real Food Generation (RFG) is to harness the power of youth and universities to create a food system that truly nourishes us all. Our first campaign, the Real Food Challenge, challenged universities to redirect $1 billion dollars of cafeteria spending to sources that are local & community-based, fair, ecologically-sound, and/or humane. In 2018, RFG launched Uprooted & Rising. Uprooted & Rising is a BIPOC-led movement to end college and university support for Big Food and white supremacy in the food system and to direct the energy of our generation towards food sovereignty. Real Food Generation is a fiscally-sponsored organization of TSNE MissionWorks.
