  • About Us

ARTS - MENTORING - YOUTH EMPOWERMENT - COMMUNITY

The Performance Project is a youth arts, leadership and social justice community organization working with youth in the Springfield & Holyoke, Western Massachusetts. Through creativity, and the performing and visual arts, we build a nurturing and supportive community for youth.

First Generation members, age 14-22 train with professional artists and create and perform original, multi-lingual physical theater based on their life experiences and personal narratives.

Ubuntu Arts Community brings together children ages 8-12 with High School mentors, college students, and artists in a caring community that focuses on intergenerational mentoring, leadership skills, the arts, social justice, and community engagement.

We also work with youth in the custody of the Department of Youth Services (DYS) in our visual arts residencies and in the community.
