Workshop

Founded in July 2020, Workshop democratizes and demystifies the policy-making process to increase the capacity of the worker rights movement. We leverage the expertise of former Obama and Biden-Harris appointees and formulate concrete proposals that help advance executive action for worker rights. Strong relationships within current administrations, extensive experience working on the “inside,” and a small and nimble team support advocates in strengthening their proposals, influencing those with power and having greater impact. Workshop aims to strengthen existing organizations while centering collaboration, equity, and impact. Initially a passion project of former appointees, Workshop recently welcomed its Executive Director and is currently supported by three Fellows leading distinct projects and an Advisory Committee providing overall guidance. Workshop is a fiscally sponsored project of Community Change, a national organization that builds the power of low-income people to fight for a society where everyone can thrive.
