About Us
The Cardinal Cupboard is Catholic University's food pantry, which provides non-perishable food items to any member of the university community that is experiencing food insecurity.
The Cardinal Cupboard operates on the principles of social justice, inclusivity, accessibility, and dignity. Students or employees who find that they have difficulty purchasing adequate and sufficient groceries are welcome to visit the pantry to receive assistance.
The pantry is led by a full-time AmeriCorps VISTA and part time volunteers that are primarily students of the university. We are looking for a strong and dynamic AmeriCorps VISTA to expand the pantry's reach, recruit and train new volunteers, develop the pantry to be sustainable without a full-time AmeriCorps member, and more! This position is incredibly rewarding and creative.
