Russian and Eurasian Studies
IMARES and IMARES Plus Master’s degree programs focus on Russia and the post-Soviet Eurasian area. Both comprehensive programs allow you to study Russia from A to Z. You will examine the past and analyze the most up-to-date events unfolding in the region. You will study and discuss a variety of topics, including foreign policy and security issues in Russia and neighboring countries, history and current events, changing society and reforms, and, of course, Russian culture and arts.
IMARES alumni have made careers in educational institutions in North America, Europe and Russia; research and administrative duties, libraries and museums; editorial boards of academic journals and publishers; private and state companies; government bodies, national or regional councils and parliaments, and international organizations.
Energy Politics in Eurasia
ENERPO and ENERPO Plus Master’s degree programs focus specifically on the energy affairs in Russia, the post-Soviet space, and the Middle East. You will learn and discuss a variety of topics including Russian-European and Russian-Asian energy relations and challenges, LNG and shale gas revolutions, green energy perspectives in Eurasia, influence of energy sector on politics, economics and social development in Russia, Central Asia, Middle East, and the Caucasus.

Calendar
One-year intensive MA programs (IMARES and ENERPO) start twice a year. The spring semester starts at the beginning of February. The fall semester starts at the beginning of September. You may choose whichever start date serves you better.
Application deadlines:
Admissions continue on a rolling basis. It takes several weeks to obtain a Russian visa, so we ask prospective students to send us their completed application forms no later than:
December 15, 2020 - for the Spring 2021 semester
April 30, 2021 - for the Fall 2021 semester
