Bedford Playhouse, Inc.

  • About Us

Our MissionOur mission is to provide a vibrant cultural and social destination dedicated to screening the best films for discerning adults and families, as well as a community hub for social gatherings, special events, and educational programs relating to film and the arts.

The Bedford Playhouse is a movie theater located in Bedford, New York which first opened its doors back in April 1947. In early 2015, the theater closed and a grassroots organization was formed under the leadership of Bedford resident John Farr with the goal of transforming the theater into a not-for-profit cinema and community hub.
