  • About Us

Since 1973, the Landmarks Conservancy has preserved and revitalized architecturally significant structures by providing grants, low-interest loans, and hands-on technical assistance. In communities across New York City and State, the Conservancy works with property owners to ensure the maintenance, repair, and restoration of homes, businesses, places of worship, social service centers, schools, cultural institutions, and buildings which serve a variety of other functions. The Conservancy is also a strong advocate for historic preservation issues, presents practical information through workshops and publications, and promotes the importance of preservation through lectures, tours, award programs, and other public events.
