Laurel Civic Association, Inc., is a community-based organization that shapes the foundations for successful lives for people of all ages in Sarasota County through education, life development skills, personal empowerment, community awareness, and opportunities for growth that lead to self-sufficiency. 

Our mission: With our partners, we build strong foundations through programs that empower children and families to lead successful lives.

Laurel Civic was formed in 1969 by a group of dedicated volunteers in the Laurel community. We were incorporated in 1989 and received our tax-exempt status in 1990. We offer services and support to primarily low-income and at-risk children and their families through activities that educate, provide positive social interaction, and lead to self-sufficiency.
