    Newtown is a beautiful New England town in Fairfield County, situated between New York City and Hartford. The Newtown Public Schools is a highly respected school system with approximately 4,200 students in four elementary schools (PreK-grade 4), an intermediate school (grades 5-6), middle school (grades 7-8) , and high school (grades 9-12).

    We proudly employ, support, mentor, and coach over 425 certified staff and an additional 400 support staff.

    The mission of Newtown Public Schools, a partnership of students, families, educators, and community, is to INSPIRE EACH STUDENT TO EXCEL in attaining and applying the knowledge, skills, and attributes that lead to personal success while becoming a contributing member of a dynamic global community.
