The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (SMFA), provides an education in the fine arts for undergraduate and graduate artists that is interdisciplinary, self-directed, and always evolving. A primary goal of the Artist’s Resource Center (ARC) at SMFA is to cultivate diverse experiential opportunities for art students at critical stages of their learning to broaden their understanding of career possibilities, and empower them with training and skills that support their success as professionals within a greater interdisciplinary community. To this end, the ARC has developed working partnerships within cultural, educational, commercial, social service, and health care sectors.
