Renovate A House Foundation

  • About Us

Renovate a House Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, gifts renovated housing to low-income, disabled cancer patients and their children free in the Pensacola area through the Recipient Housing Program. The foundation helps low-income cancer patients who struggle physically with the disease, from the side effects, and from depression. Additionally, they battle the financial responsibilities of their rent and house utility expenses. The foundation provides a renovated house for cancer patients who can no longer work as a result of the unpredictable chemo treatment they must endure. Also, out-of-state cancer patients need a place to stay while receiving chemo. The foundation's managing director John LoCastro, an ex-contractor and current cancer patient, hires local contractors to (bring up to code) transform abandon houses in Pensacola into comfortable, livable updated homes for cancer patients and their families.

We are in need of volunteers for the upcoming fundraiser “Baker's Delight” on March 3, 2018.
