  • About Us

Temple Sinai strives to be the center of a vibrant, caring community. As a place of spirituality and learning, members celebrate Jewish living through their religious, educational and social experiences. We affirm the central tenets of Judaism – God, Torah and Israel - and, consistent with the principles of Reform Judaism, we accept diversity within our beliefs and prayers. With varied backgrounds, we come together to discover our connection to prayer, spiritual renewal, and the establishment of a progressive Jewish community in eastern Bergen County.

We are committed to the values and ideals of Reform Judaism and proudly take our place in the Reform Movement. We welcome diversity and are committed to strengthening Jewish traditions for all who have chosen to maintain a Jewish home for their families. We seek to provide spiritually meaningful worship for all of our congregants at all stages of the life cycle. We strive to inspire a life-long commitment to religious education, study and to Torah. We embrace acts of loving kindness and Tikkun Olam, both within and outside of the Jewish community. We honor our connection to the State of Israel and actively support it and all progressive Jewish communities throughout the world. Through the above ideals we create an engaging environment in which our members find fulfillment as individuals and fellowship as a congregation.
