About Us
The Jefferson County Public Schools English as a Second Language (ESL) Office provides services to students whose native language is not English. We do so through two main components: our Intake Center and our Instructional unit. The Intake Center receives newly-arrived immigrant and refugee families and assists with their transition to our school district. The Instructional unit supports ESL teachers in the 43 schools in our district that house ESL programs.
