The mission of Scholar Athletes is to support academic achievement through athletics, while the vision is to reduce the opportunity gap for both Boston Public Schools (BPS) and Springfield Public Schools (SPS) high school students. To accomplish this bold vision, we leverage the connection between academic achievement and athletic participation, often using athletics as a “hook” to attract students and motivate them to pursue academic success.
