About Us
In 1980 a group of concerned citizens were frustrated that women living in domestic violence situations and their children did not have a safe place to go to escape abusive relationships. With passion, commitment, and hard work they established the Women’s Abuse Shelter, known today as Services to Abused Families, Inc. (SAFE). Their vision over thirty years ago has ensured that safety, shelter, and support remains available today for those fleeing domestic and sexual violence situations.
