About Us
The mission of IGEN is to expand the green economy of Illinois by organizing the 48 Illinois Community Colleges to provide statewide green jobs training and creation, community outreach, market transformation and demonstration through greening our own campuses. We want to combine the power of community colleges as credible education and training organizations with the power of the business sector to innovate so that together we can energize a new level of engagement and productivity in the green economy. In short, we wish to focus on the critical problems associate with the green economy that we can solve together and that we cannot solve alone.
