    Baykeeper's mission is to protect, preserve, and restore the NY-NJ Harbor Estuary, its tributaries and watershed.

    As the environmental advocate for the Estuary since 1989, NY/NJ Baykeeper has been a leader in preserving New York City and Northern New Jersey urban natural areas, protecting the public's access, bringing legal action against polluters, advocating for the common law principle of the public trust doctrine, and restoring wetlands, stream corridors, and oyster beds.
