Rockfish Wildlife Sanctuary

  • About Us

Rockfish Wildlife Sanctuary is a non-profit wildlife rehabilitation facility located in Central Virginia. Our mission has three parts:

    1. To rescue and rehabilitate injured and orphaned native wildlife in Central Virginia and release them back into the wild. We admit over 800 wild animal patients in need every year.
    2. To inform and advise our fellow citizens about what to do when they find an injured or orphaned wild animal and direct folks to the right resources for the animal in need.
    3. To educate folks across Central Virginia about the habitats and needs of native wildlife. We provide free outreach programming for communities of all ages where we introduce our education ambassador animals and help the public gain a deeper appreciation for our wild neighbors.
