Dubuque Rescue Mission
About Us
The Dubuque Rescue Mission (www.dbqrescue.org) began in 1932. The Dubuque
Mission houses men in need of shelter and support. We also operate two
second-hand stores, distribute vouchers to those in need, host free meals for
the public daily, and operate a bike mechanics shop. Our Gardens are steadily
expanding since their creation in 2010. The Gardens are located downtown
Dubuque, Iowa on about half an acre. Our 2015 growing season brings great
promise. We have a new chicken coop which will house 13 laying hens, a 1200
square foot greenhouse, full water access, and plans to expand growing space
and native landscaping.
