About Us
Tax-Aid is a 501(c)(3) public charity that was founded in 1988 with a mission of assisting, without charge, low-income taxpayers in connection with the preparation of their tax returns. For 28 years, Tax-Aid has served families and individuals with low and moderate income individuals in the San Francisco Bay Area.. Our core program is to recruit and train around 1,000 volunteers each year to prepare over 5,000 returns, achieving over $5 million in refunds.
