    The Northwest Conservation District (NWCD) is an environmental non-profit organization serving 34 municipalities in Northwest Connecticut since 1953. We provide technical services and education for the conservation of land and ecosystems including inland wetlands, lakes, rivers, watersheds; forestry, community gardening; regenerative agriculture; renewable energy and more. We work to promote Low Impact Development (LID) and promote the adoption and application of best management practices in agriculture.
