Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission is a full service community resource center focused on helping the homeless and hungry. As a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization we offer programs and services to help end homelessness and to meet each person in need with care, compassion and dignity. Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission was formed in 2009 to focus on providing emergency shelter and food programs to the most vulnerable of our community. Providing over 108,000 meals annually, 32,000 nights of shelter, and extensive homeless services, Hope of the Valley has played a significant role in responding to the needs of the Valley and all of Los Angeles. Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission believes its work of providing homeless services to those in need will be needed for many years into the future. Therefore, we strive to fulfill our mission with thoughtful strategic choices that ensure we have sufficient financial resources.
We currently operate a 50-Bed emergency shelter, a men's recovery home and a new 30-bed women and children transitional home as well as offer a full array of social services to the homeless population. It is our goal to treat each person with care, compassion and dignity no matter their circumstances in life.
