The mission of the Centre for Peace and Reconciliation Studies (CPRS) is to contribute to the deeper understanding and promotion of processes of reconciliation and forgiveness by non-violent means at all levels throughout the world.
Through our activities as a centre of teaching, research and related activities we seek to empower those at the grass-roots, national and international levels who are striving to transform violent and destructive conflict situations by non-violent means.
Underpinning our approach is the basic premise that within the context of struggles to achieve peace and reconciliation at whatever level, the transformative power of non-violence has been under-estimated and under-researched.
