New Voices for Youth - Outreach Project of the League of Women Voters of South San Mateo County Education Fund

  • About Us

New Voices for Youth (NV4Y) is an outreach project of the League of Women Voters (LWV), a nonprofit, community-based volunteer organization. NV4Y encourages the active and informed participation of citizens in government and works to increase understanding of major public policy issues. NV4Y, an after school program, discovers and trains youth leaders in underrepresented communities. Youth work with experienced directors, who provide expertise in media and youth organizing, to identify and craft issues that can be explored digitally. Students hone skills that enable them to express their opinions and communicate about complex issues with their peers and the community.
