  • About Us

Ireland’s first and only sanctuary for unwanted primates was established in 1999 and has saved the lives of 25 ex-laboratory, ex-zoo, ex-circus and ex-pet monkeys who otherwise had no future. Our monkeys live as natural a life as we can give them, living freely on islands in a lake, where they can climb and swing on trees and forage for insects as they would in the wild. We are not open to the public so the monkeys can enjoy a peaceful environment after all they have been through. We are a registered charity run on a voluntary basis. We are seeking the right person or couple for a 3 month relief manager post-primate experience essential.
