  • About Us

The vision of the National Association of Mothers' Centers (NAMC) is to enable mothers to be effective in using their individual and collective knowledge and experience as catalysts for personal and societal changes that benefit mothers and families. Social supports for mothers are limited at best. We offer parent-to-parent support around child development, parenting, and personal development. Our organization includes local Mothers' Centers founded by women in their community, a pilot program with public libraries, on-site corporate work/life programs, the BEST Program (currently available in the NY/NJ/CT area), national conferences and an annual Work/Life Conference.

The NAMC's MOTHERS Initiative, at www.MothersOughtToHaveEqualRights.org, highlights the economic impact of being a caregiver and encourages women to work for change. We also offer a book blog featuring books related to mothers' issues, discussion questions, author interviews, and book group guidelines at www.MOTHERSBookBag.org.
