The ALS Therapy Development Institute

The ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI) is driven by a single, profoundly important goal – to discover viable treatments for ALS as quickly as we possibly can. The Institute was started in 1999 and is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization. Currently, a team of 30 full-time research scientists and technicians work together daily in a state-of-the-art laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts, taking the disease apart at the molecular level and turning off genes and proteins which may be related to the disease.

The Institute is solely focused on stopping ALS and is executing the world's largest and leading research and development program possible today. People living with the disease today, their families and supporters have created a grassroots fundraising network of support that stretches from coast to coast. ALS TDI operates several fundraising programs under the TeamTDI umbrella including: ALS TDI Golf, the Tri-State Trek, Young Faces of ALS (YFALS), ALS Ambassadors and custom major donor and giving programs. A remarkable 84% or more of every dollar donated goes into the lab towards research at ALS TDI.
