We embrace the philosophy of integrated natural resource
management. All students, regardless of major, need to understand and
appreciate the relationships between natural resources and human needs
and they need to understand the scientific method and its application to
environmental problem solving. We promote critical thinking and problem
solving strategies based on integrated resource management and
education through our teaching, scholarship and outreach activities. We
are composed of faculty, staff, and students, each with their own
expertise, strengths, attitudes, and values. The responsibilities and
appointments vary among our faculty and staff members, most have
teaching appointments, some have extension appointments, while others
serve in research or administrative capacities. This diversity allows us
to capitalize on the strengths and diversity of college personnel to
promote integrated resource management through teaching, scholarship,
and outreach.
