The National Council for Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated Women and Girls

  • About Us

The National Council is led by formerly-incarcerated women who share the mission of ending the incarceration of women and girls. We work towards this goal by hyper-local organizing, national campaigns, legal and policy work, and research. We work with incarcerated women, their families, and neighbors to bring women home and create communities in which they can work, heal, and thrive.
