HomeWorks Trenton

  • About Us

HomeWorks Trenton is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides a community-based after-school, boarding program that provides academic and social-emotional enrichment activities to supplement public schools, empower women, and build community leaders. Our scholars attend public schools during the day, then stay with us overnight in a dorm. Our unique model brings the benefits of the boarding school experience to public education without the bureaucracy, high fixed costs and scalability issues of an actual school. These benefits include academic and extracurricular enrichment, social and emotional support, a safe and stable environment, global learning, and one-on-one support. Our 5-½ day boarding school does not require its scholars “to trade home and family for education”; instead, students live in the same community as their parents, speak with them daily, and live in their parents’ homes from Friday evening to Sunday evening. Our mission is to foster a community of empowered young women who achieve their full potential and positively impact the world around them.
