  • About Us

National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (National VOAD) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, membership based organization that serves as the forum where organizations share knowledge and resources throughout the disaster cycle—preparation, response and recovery —to help disaster survivors and their communities. The work of our members and partners is conducted based on the "4 Cs" — Communication, Coordination, Cooperation, and Collaboration. The National VOAD collaborative provides the leadership that builds resilient communities and delivers hope in times of need. Our headquarters staff members are champions for and facilitators of the 4 Cs.
