  • About Us

The New Teacher Project (TNTP) is a national non-profit organization that partners with educational entities to increase the number of outstanding individuals who become public school teachers and create environments for all educators that maximize their impact on student achievement. Since 1997, we have worked with school districts, colleges of education and state departments of education to enhance their capacity to recruit, select, and train outstanding new teachers. Our clients, past and present, include school districts in New York City; Washington DC; Los Angeles; Atlanta; Kansas City, as well as Mercy College in New York and the Arkansas State Department of Education, among others. Over the course of our history, we have attracted and prepared over 13,000 new, high-quality teachers and launched more than 40 programs in 20 states.
