Junior National Young Leaders Conference

  • About Us

The Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC) is sponsored by the Congressional Youth Leaderhip Council - a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan, educational organization, that sponsors several national and international leadership conferences throughout the year. Founded in 1985 and located in Washington, D.C., the CYLC is dedicated to "fostering and inspiring young people to achieve their full leadership potential."

JrNYLC strives to help high achieving middle school students develop their leadership skills through an examination of leaders throughout United States history.

CYLC programs offer students the opportunity to discuss current events and issues with top policy makers and international actors, analyze concepts and then put them immediately to work! Each dynamic program features creative decision-making simulations that challenge young minds to solve problems and lead their peers through role-playing exercises in an energy-charged atmosphere far from the traditional classroom experience.
