About Us
18 Reasons is a nonprofit community cooking school based in the Mission District of San Francisco. Our mission is to empower our community with the confidence and creativity needed to buy, cook, and eat good food every day. We are a tight-knit team and love to cook, eat, and work hard together. Our core values are inclusivity, food, heart, and learning. Our service area includes San Francisco County, Alameda County, and Contra Costa County in California. Our audience is comprised of those who can pay for hands-on cooking classes and food experiences at our 18th St. culinary classroom located in the Mission, as well as students who need free healthy cooking and nutrition education classes, whom we reach through our Cooking Matters program located at service agencies throughout the Bay Area.
