Bryony House is a 24-bed shelter that provides a safe place for women and children to go when they need to leave an abusive situation. In 1978, Bryony House opened its doors as Nova Scotia’s first transition house. It remains the only transition house in the Halifax Regional Municipality exclusively serving victims of intimate partner violence.
