    Growing Food, Building Community. Allegheny Mountain Institute is a 501(c)3 educational nonprofit whose mission is to cultivate healthy communities through food and education. Our vision is to create a thriving network of collaborative, vibrant communities, who value the connection between food and health.

    AMI's flagship program is a fully sponsored Farm and Food Education Fellowship. After successfully incubating a Farm to School Program at the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind, AMI launched and currently manages a Farm to Hospital program with Augusta Health.
