  • About Us

Founded in 1991 as a Christian ministry, Indian River Habitat for Humanity’s vision is to help build a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Our mission – bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope – inspires our effort. Habitat for Humanity provides simple, decent, affordable, and energy efficient homes through new home construction, home repair and renovation of existing homes.

In addition, Indian River Habitat’s Scholarship program, available only to Habitat homeowners and their dependents, allows Habitat families to reach for education beyond a high school or GED certificate. Specifically, scholarships provide resources to meet the costs of college or workforce development programs.
