  • About Us

The American Lung Association, established in 1904, is the oldest voluntary health agency in the U.S. Our mission is to promote lung health and prevent lung disease. Our programs in asthma education, clean air advocacy, smoking cessation and support groups for seniors suffering from lung disease are some of the ways we educate and alleviate the pain and depression of living with chronic lung disease like emphysema or asthma. Our programs and services are supported by our fundraising events: The Fight for Air Walk, The Fight for Air Climb, and the Evening in the Sky Gala. PLease contact our office if you are interested in job opportunities or volunteer/internships.
