  • About Us

OpenmindProjects is a grassroots social enterprise, NGO and non-profit.

We are dedicated to helping young but poor people to better futures with modern was of learning English and important IT skills.

We are based in Thailand and train migrant, village, disabled, refugee children and students from deprived backgrounds. OpenmindProjects was launched in 2002

    but was disrupted by Covid.

We complement local education by giving local youth English and IT the skills they need to support themselves.

Poor youth in SE Asia have a problem to access good education, learning English and IT skills. They have to leave their homes to find low skill, low paid jobs elsewhere. We help open doors to better job opportunities (including remote roles for disabled students. We help fill in gaps in education such as English conversation skills As we empower our local students with volunteer help, we create English speakers and more culturally competent students.

We are passionate about equitable access to education and improving cultural understanding and global empathy. We believe all have a right to learn and want to help make learning accessible to everyone.

We are a global network of local people and international volunteers who love learning and we want to connect international volunteers with local youth. We rely on volunteers to help run our programs and we connect international volunteers with poor youth in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Nepal. They learn English with you. You learn about their culture, country and language with them.

We are building an online learning platform that connect users to teach, learn and share ideas and lessons. This online platform facilitates communication between international volunteers and local students, teachers. And as a volunteer you can help us!
