Public Charter Schools Center for Student Support Services

  • About Us

The Public Charter Schools Center for Student Support Services (CSSS) helps D.C. youth succeed in school and in life by building the supports they need to learn, prosper, and mature into productive citizens and community leaders. We help the District’s public charter schools integrate best practices in education, child and youth development, and mental health services in order to create healthy school environments in which every child can succeed.

In the long-term, we seek to build integrated, self-sustaining, school and community-based structures that interrupt intergenerational cycles of poverty, academic failure, substance abuse, and mental illness, and turn those energies in positive directions.
