  • About Us

Antelope Butte is a nonprofit ski area in Northern Wyoming working to make mountain recreation affordable and accessible for everyone, especially youth and beginners. After the previous ski area closed in 2004, a group of individuals got together in 2011 to form the Antelope Butte Foundation (ABF) with the purpose of bringing mountain recreation back to the community.

This past winter was Antelope Butte’s second season with all three lifts running and it was an incredibly successful season. Antelope Butte ended the season operating in the black with over 11,000 skier visits, exceeding our initial season projections!

Antelope Butte is more than just a ski area. Antelope Butte is a nonprofit because mountain recreation is historically expensive and barriers prevent many people within their own community from taking advantage of the benefits of mountain recreation.

The ski area offers affordable lift tickets, season passes, rentals, and lessons. The foundation provides financial assistance and accessible educational programs. Since 2004, an entire generation has lost the opportunity to learn how to ski and snowboard. This past winter, Antelope Butte’s programming served almost 1,500 youth!
