  • About Us

    Our aim:

Guided by our mission, “empowering communities through opportunities,” we support, provide pathways, and dream with indigent Filipinos realize their ultimate dreams.

    Our pillars:

    1.    Community: all our project ideas stem from and benefit communities; not just individuals from these communities. Community consultation is always a must.

    2.    Accountability: we publish all official receipts, outputs, and bookkeeping records after every project. We take a very low (if not the lowest) 10-15% admin fee (depending on the complexity of the project, which already includes the 6.9% admin fee for funds derived from GoGetFunding) to cover transportation, utilities, and community volunteer stipends. Taken in the context of a developing country and despite running on a very tight budget, we believe that we must give a modest stipend to our community volunteers. Needing support themselves, they do not hesitate to share their time and skills despite having to forgo a day of work just to be with us. Prioritizing this means we try to do all planning and marketing online to minimize costs incurred for printing and transportation.

    3.    Long-term: we only support long-term projects that contribute to building good foundations for communities.

    What we DO:

    1.    Fundraising: we fundraise projects that are urgent and important for the community upon consultation with community leaders and members. We fundraise through GoGetFunding; marketing partner communities’ products on Etsy, Lazada, and Shopee; and reaching out to churches, companies, and individuals. We try our best to do everything online to minimize additional costs incurred in printing and transportation.

    2.    Implementation: we implement these funded projects and publish a full account available for viewing by all stakeholders.

    What we DON’T do:

    1.    Leave stakeholders hanging: we only buy from stores that issue official receipts, and publish all official receipts, outputs, and bookkeeping records after every project to ensure full transparency for all stakeholders.

    2.    Partner with politicians and political candidates: no, just no. No matter how challenging, we independently manage every single project in partnership with the community.
