  • About Us

    OUR MISSION

Since 1984, Canyonlands Field Institute has inspired enlightened perspectives, passion, and care for the Colorado Plateau through river and hiking trips, workshops, and educational camps.

Canyonlands Field Institute offers interdisciplinary studies in natural science, the literary arts, and the physical cultural geography of the region for schools, youth groups, adults, and families. Other programs include training for outdoor professionals and other adult courses.

The programs promote dialogue about issues affecting the public, private, and tribal lands of the Colorado Plateau bioregion; as well as respect, reverence, responsibility and reciprocity to the natural world.
