  • About Us

Founded in 1976, the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota (LFM) works on behalf of those whose lives are impacted by lupus. As a nonprofit charitable organization, LFM raises funds to support research focused on understanding the causes, and discovering improved treatments and a cure for the disease.

It is the realization of the organizational vision that serves to define and drive the mission-driven work that we do on a daily basis. In 2013 this vision was articulated by the Board of Directors as: A World Without Lupus.

In pursuit of this, LFM is committed to operating under the principles of integrity, transparency and earned public trust and in 2013, LFM was recognized by the Charities Review Council (CRC) as one of the state’s ‘most trusted nonprofits’ based on meeting the stringent governance, program and operating policies and standards set by the CRC.
