    Honoring life ~ Offering hope

    Our Vision is to:

    • recognize that individuals and families are the true experts in their own care;
    • support our staff so they can put our patients and families first;
    • find creative solutions which add quality to life;
    • strive for excellence beyond accepted standards;
    • increase the community's awareness of hospice as part of the continuum of care.

    Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care of Houston cares for terminally ill patients and their families. We offer a unique approach through the utilization of music therapy, legacy work and other volunteer services that enhance the quality of life for individuals and their families. Recognizing that Veterans have unique and special needs at the end of life, Seasons is proud to partner with the We Honor Veterans Organization and is equipped to train Veterans Volunteers to work with patients who are Veterans.

    Season's provides all necessary training to our volunteers. Season's requires all volunteers to have a valid driver's license (if applying for positions that require driving), proof of eligibility to work in the US, and proof of a TB test (Seasons will provide TB testing if necessary). Criminal background checks are done on all Seasons employees and volunteers.

    Direct Care volunteer roles include: visiting patients and their family members, providing companionship, shopping, running errands, reading aloud, listening to music together, going on walks with the patient, and sitting with the patient to provide caregivers some respite. Indirect Care volunteer roles include: Answering phones, typing letters, filing and data entry, newsletters, community outreach and volunteer recruitment, sending sympathy cards, etc...
